Depends on what your wanting to be good at. If you wanna bonk specials/elite then I'd go with Combat axe, Tactical is better at horde clear but at the same time there are far better hoard clearing weapons.
Vantaxe

Headtaker
Brutal Momentum

+CC
+CD
or
+Carapace
+Unyielding

Combat Axe is the safer bet for sure. Tactical is more of a niche specialty weapon. Not bad by any means, but Combat Axe is overall going to fit far more builds and uses. Most go with Antax with Brutal Momentum & something like Thrust, Headtaker, etc.

But there are a ton of ways to build axes well and rn personally I think all the Caxes are pretty good. My zelly has like at least 3-4 versions of each and they all fit different builds.

Combat axe is the safer choice that will fit in most builds. I built a tactical axe on zealot and while its fun, I feel like i have to work my ass off to make it feel useful.
thanks for info guys :steamhappy:

Tac Axe is nice for crit build with zealot. Been running this with the mark IV and martyrdom build for couple of weeks now and like it.....dakkadakkadakka ^^

I prefer the Combat Axe with Headtaker and Brutal Momentum. It's good for hording, and you can deal with carapace armor in a resonable amount of hits. It's also very good against all types of flak and maniacs with excellent swing patterns for headshotting and cleaving through hordes.
