I had matches fail just because game doesn't listen and do what I click too.
It won't fix the hit detection issues, or the game randomly ignoring block, pushes & push attacks, but it helps a lot to at least tone down the problem.
Game needs input buffering if it doesn't have it. Or polish it if it does.
They still don't care enough to fix it.
Use Q to switch weapons rather than the number keys, Q bypasses some of the animations while the number keys don't.
Isn't it "use 1 and 2" usually as q is more likely to lag out and double switch without notice?
Literally howling at my pc when it happens.
Wait til you realise dodge distance is inconsistent based on the floor/surface you are on or passing over!
EDIT
You know i might be missing info about this and it might actually be worse. It might vary due to input lag. Certainly I've found even when i dodge at the right timing now i sometimes still get hit. I have discovered there spots on the maps where you stop moving if you are walking backwards. Theres nothing blocking the way but you just stop or get stuck. Then you try again and it works.
So i don't whats going on. Its just the game is very buggy in a way that means you just punished for doing it right occasionally.
In V2 I did have that issue with Sienna staffs. But never in this game
To anyone having this issue- are you using frame gen? Quick swap key? Or mouse wheel?
I use the number keys and definitely dont have any input lag or weap swap problems.
Protip: it'll be server based ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tomorrow too.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but from my understanding, what they are suggesting has no bearing on whether it's server or client-sided. They're trying to swap weapons, they press a key, but nothing happens. Macroing it to press the key multiple times within a couple of hundred MS, I could see working.
Although, I don't think that's the issue at all, I think it has more to do with the fact that they are doing other things, like shooting, hitting, blocking, pushing, etc. Which overrides the "swap to alternate weapon". That is, at least, how I perceive it when it happens to me.
even have updated drivers and changed worker threads a few times (which usually fixes it) but it still persists.
normally this goes away for me but today more than ever, it hasnt.
What region are you in? I'm west coast USA and have none of these issues. Never had a weap swap issue in DT in 1800+ hours. Dogs are no threat to me and never have been.
And yet some people claim they can't switch weapons and dogs are impossible to counter. Is it possible your ISP/region is to blame? Because it's not "the game." If it was "the game" we'd all have those problems, right?
None here. It's possible west coast USA has good enough connection (I'm on a physically connected 1gb fiber) and that other regions and/or playing or wireless is effecting the experiecne?
