Nurglings? Plague Bearers? Why no demons yet?
I'll be honest, I'm a little tired of all the human enemies we're fighting. Where are the Nurglings and Plague Bearers?

FatShark already added Nurglings to VT2 (limited for an event, but still). So why haven't we seen any daemons yet in Darktide?

And yes, I'm aware that the Poxwalker Zombies are technically equivalent due to how Nurgle diseases work, but that's not what I'm talking about.

EDIT: yes, I originally said "where are the pox walkers." I meant "Where are the Plaguebearers?"

Because this isn't a full incursion

Nurglings are also featured in Inquisitor Martyr and Warhammer Chaosbane.

They should arrive at some point, seeing as Fatshark has obviously paid for them for VT2 for a yearly event.

But Beasts of Nurgle are daemons too and they are in Darktide.

It actually is. The Darktide is in the lore, and demons were part of it.

Spoiler: The Ultramarines swoop in and save the day.

That's the reason probably, no one wants to see blueberries in DT (since SM2 is so close) :P

Seriously? Where are the Poxwalkers?

And nobody wants to fight nurglings. Nobody wants to fight a fast, irratic moving thing that is the size of a small pet monkey.

In Chaosbane they grab each other and roll at the player, even spinning each other around as blunt weapons then flying everywhere. It's funny stuff, they're great to fight against.

In Boltgun the Nurglings are a horrible menace, especially in large numbers at that Great Unclean One fight. Darktide definitely should not use that design.

"Where are the pox walkers"
Sorry to tell you this but you know the very lowest level of enemies? The first one you bludgeon with a shovel in the intro? The ones which make up the majority of every hoard?
Explicitly called a pox walker... okay "groaners" are the weakest, but pox walkers are still chaff.

I'd personally be up for nurglings. Its not like we dont have a range of fgull auto and AOE options. Perhaps if they by defauly made their own mini-hoards that would help keep them manageable... But tbh id love to see them even if they just ran about taunting you before running off and returned a small reward at the end of the mission if you shot enough of them.

lmao, yeah.

I meant plaguebearers.

I know this may sound like a surprise but the vast majority of enemies within chaos are indeed just human enemies. The traitors, the heretics, especially on a hive world.

Though if I was to attempt to make a guess, I would presume stuff like that is going to either be relegated for a third enemy faction to be released later, or just reserved for when things get from ♥♥♥♥ to even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I mean with the constant teasing of this second hive city full of "souls" but not what kind I think we will be expanding the enemy roster at some point in 2024 especially now since the anniversary update was so immensely successful for Fartshart.

Nurglings and Plague bearers would be great and would probably work well. Outside of that, it's kinda difficult. Not for adding them in necessarily, but because of GM and how picky they can be with what's allowed and what we face.

It's also kinda sorta suspect how strong our characters actually are because it's difficult to determine what's the result of "rule of cool"/game mechanics, and what's actually in at full power.

Because of all that, it's hard to know why certain enemies aren't in or what will ever be in.
nurgle daemons are boring imo. i cant trust the devs to make them not really annoying to fight. look at beasts of nurgle. theyre just stupid
I would like to see more deamons.

We can barely take on "Demonhosts..." O_O"

What in Terra's green hills makes you think we can take on full blown demons?!
