lets face it, far far far down the line, in many many years when the game is coming to a rest, refreshing it with SM might be something to consider, the levels are already made for ogryn sized characters. but for the foreseeable future the answer is and always was: no.

If space marines show up it devalues us average Joe's. It's like when all the justice league is trying their hardest to beat up one super villain. Then superman shows up and one shots him.

I think the issue with the Darktide is we're not "really" Guardsmen, we're not "really" inquisitorial soldiers, we're not "really" penal soldiers.

We're not "really" anything from the lore.

Are we rejects/convicts? Sort of. But then we get pardoned and brought into the Warband by level 25 or 30 - whatever that means.

What "are" our characters? Well, we're not "really" anything.

I think FS should have gone with either Sisters of Battle or Inquisitorial Stormtroopers to give people "something" from the lore to sink their teeth into.
