I actually rarely get disconnected in Darktide, but I still don't like the whole live service thing since I don't want to not be able to play the game just because they decide to stop supporting in and shut the game servers off.
Not if the dedicated server is under heavy traffic. Remember the horrible lags and desyncs right after launch?
My personal issue is that lately i can't stay connected to any server i join, enemies start sliding, floating, and then dying after a minute of standing still, before being kicked back to character select with an error. I almost never played without a 4 man and have to rely on Fatshark servers instead of a friend's ISP which performs better, with no offline play and connecting directly to friends not possible, the game becomes LITERALLY unplayable as i cant connect to FS servers which are the ONLY option.
Solutions i have come up with the seemingly have worked i reduce resoultion and Graphic settings to something slightly below recommanded. turn on Vsync and Navdia Boosting. and it should fix also updating Graphic cards.
VT2: everyone mad because P2P sucks. demand dedicated servers the whole time.
DT: everyone experiences fatshark quality dedicated servers, realizes they shoulda shut the hell up.
DT is a massive improvement over VT in that regard.
Host has perfect (zero) ping, other 3 could suffer a lot, because host limited his bandwidth output, or just live too far, or his ISP sux, or his PC sux, etc
Host left - all progress lost, start the map again, even if you were in the one step from the finish line (no joke, I've seen that!)
etc
So don't even think to ask this crap here
