Lol, if you think the game is getting regular updates with actual content, then you are living in a dream world.

We just had new content added.

i'd love a solo mode. getting tired of getting on a strike team with Speed Racer. people should go back to playing WOW and speed running Mythics. i am trying to enjoy the game play.

I wouldn’t expect anything new for a while. ;)

Cant you simply add one likeminded person and do duos than solo?

New content yes. We've had talents and the recent story mission. More in the future. Solo mode is irrelevant in a co-op game. The bots are nowhere near good enough to entertain solo play. And it wouldnt improve the game as a whole. There are a ton of things they could add that would make finding like minded people easier though, group finder with settings for example. I'm sure there's tons of singleplayer games that are like Darktide though (but not 40k themed)

I would hope to see Solo mode sometime this year. My assumption is that they want to deliver a fully complete feature, e.g. smarter bot AI, customisable bots, local hosting etc

I wouldn't say that Solo is irrelevant, but it's not a priority for the majority of the community.

This. !% can scream all they wan't about solo mode but they will continue to do what is more relevant to the other 99%. That being said they could just change the launch requirement for private from 2 to 1 players as a short term fix.

They could, I expect the reason they don't is that it would increase their hosting costs. One server with 4 people in vs 4 servers with 1 person in.
You'd also immediately get a large number of people complaining about the quality of the bots too, which would put pressure on them to improve the AI, and make them customisable and so on.

It's probably more to do with bots, like they aren't yet up to being good grade

Give us a solo mode like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ vermintide and vermintide 2 and this game becomes 100% better

New content to a broken ass game that still needs major QoL design passes.

Didn't you know they are now on break, since December? Look at what they did when they released Darktide. They went on a couple of months break. They did not even get on a computer to fix the bugs, that kept people from playing the game, until months later.

We will probably see them talk about more stuff in February, and then deliver it in Spring. Then later on talk about more stuff, and deliver it in mid to late October.

What a great Live-Service game we have in our libraries. I guess FS does not know what a Live-Service game actually is, or the lied their butts off. It is the 2nd one, just to let you know. They lied their butts off about their game.

Fatshark knows damn well and good what "live service" game really means. To them it means a free pass to sell a game in early access state at best as a complete product to consumers, collect all the money, and then casually finish the work over the coming years, that had to be done BEFORE selling the game as a complete product. In between their endless holidays of course. Cant blame people wanting to relax and spend their money after a successful heist basically.
