Can somebody explain how surrendering weapon to Hadron works?

Exactly as writen in title. I'm new in Darktide. I'm playing Veteran now. Wanted to get good full-auto weapon and bought Agripinaa Mk VIII Braced Autogun. So far so good. Then noticed surrendering for unique blessings in Hadron. Was stupid as bucket and surrendered the gun to Hadron. 3 days passed, still didn't got the gun back. Then realized that most likely I will not get it back at all, because it seems dismantled for materials.

The actual question - any chances to have surrendered gun back? Or now I must purchase second same gun with a hope that Hadron will give me something unique for it?

focus on your modifiers and not much else. You unlocked your blessings to be used on all other weapons for the weapon type going forward which is a good thing. You can buy grey weapons from the armory that you can then upgrade all the way to legendary. As for the modifiers everything in that weapon panal caps i think at 80% i dont think ive ever seen it higher than that id also not modify any weapon until you have upgraded it all the way to legendary so you then know what exactly to change or get rid of. There is this streamer named one crazy Asian i think it was that i learned about this he has a youtube channel where he goes over a lot of this stuff. You made a valuable mistake tho early because at least now you wont repeat it on another weapon that could be worth more and at least in your situation you didnt just sell it and only get back a few creds you at least unlocked a blessing which you want to unlock them all.

Am I the only one who thinks it's stupid you have to "replace" a blessing to use those you've collected? Why can't we just put the blessings straight on to the weapon for a small charge.. instead we have to pay for blessing that we are going to replace
