You do open the contract menu when you get new contracts right?
Its not a bug (sadly) that you dont get progress when you didnt open the contract menu before doing missions when your contracts got refreshed
There is a mod (called "Better Melk") on nexus mod that solves this specific issue, so you dont have to open the contract list prior to doing a mission if they did refresh
No mods.
Verifying files shouldn't have an affect on this at all.
They ask for people to report the issue on their forums, but yet nothing ever comes of it. The threads just get endlessly bumped with no official response. I think they're hoping we just go away.
Because it doesn't seem to be affecting the vast majority of players? That means it's not (easily) reproducible, which means it's harder to fix since they can't even get it to happen often or reliably.
I've been having luck since visiting the contracts guy any time I play before I do a single mission.
I dunno, I've had file verification fix some pretty goofy issues. Verify your files. Won't hurt nuthin and then you can check it off the list.
Also it's very funny that you thought posting here would be better customer support than contacting customer support.
That is simply how the weekly contracts work; you visit Melk and check what the contracts are. This starts their trackers.
If you don't visit Melk & check his contracts, you don't have any contract trackers activated and thus get no progress.
You also have to check them on every character you load up, every time you change characters. If you close the game, you'll have to go check the contracts after launching the game again.
