not having that massive default blob of toughness made me feel like I was wasting my slots.
Stamina works well for me as I run the stamina draining crit ability on a few builds.
The shout can also pick up the slack on toughness for you as a vet
IMHO wounds are a waste outside of zealot, if you really need wounds, you're not ready for the difficulty you're playing on.
Better to just have more HP to tank than another wound
Health/wound works if and only if 2 grims make you go down to last wound.
With the right build you can face tank a sniper shot without + toughness from vet shout
