Crash every game with AMD GPU
I used to be able to play at least a few games before crashes...Now I get a crash in the first 5 minutes every game and AMD driver timeout. I am running latest drivers, have game launch as administrator and also have the worker threads set to 1.

Any other things I can try?

Hello.
I was dealing with the same problem 2 weeks ago...
Heres what I did to fix it...
PS: Im a AMD user too...

1- reinstall the game...
2- go to the appdata Fatshark (win + R) and delete the Darktide files...
3- let the game choose your basic settings...
4- with the game running, go to the setup menu... video options... choose AMD frs 1.0 quality, vsync on, 60FPS, resolution 1920X1080, low configs...

The game is running 100% OK in my PC.
My GPU is a RX 580 8GB. The coolers are working much much better since I did the changes that I told you. PC temperature is super fine. Always keep your AMD adrenalin drivers updated.

I hope this can help you man.
Send me your reply.

AMD driver timeout errors usually come from a bad driver installation/update, basically any time you update your Adrenalin you risk bringing up this issue.

Avoid the beta drivers from AMD, don't set your adrenalin to notify you of "optional" driver updates, set it to recommended only. And before updating, run the AMD cleanup utility in Windows safe mode first.

Another source for driver timeout errors are GPU accelerated browsers that are open in the background. Make sure to switch off the GPU acceleration for everything you are running at the same time as the game, this includes Steam too.

Increase GPU's voltage if you underwolted it.
I can't play if it's <1100Mv. Such problem is spotted in this game only.
Also use a video driver clean-up utilities, such as DDU.

That's the first and only thing you anyone should have recommended him.

Looks like a faulty driver config or something.

@OP: Clean your existing drivers first using DDU, make sure you already downloaded the latest adrenalin software for you GPU and start with a fresh install.

Driver timeout on AMD GPUs could be the result of undervolting/overclocking induced instability.

Ok, I reinstalled the game, deleted the Fatshark/Darktide folder. Using suggested medium settings which have FSR2 enabled by default. I only enabled VSync. So far I managed 2 games without crashing. Thank you for the advice.

BTW. I don't overclock my CPU, and I have the minimal AMD driver set installed.

That sounds good man!!!
I hope this works fine for you and I also hope that you can play your game with zero problems.
If you have a new problem, try to use the AMD fsr 1.0.
: )
