Reproducing is the basic biological instinct that every living organism (except pandas) can efficiently do.

It may be that a species that ends up in an evolutionary dead-end loses their reproductive drive, this is what is happening to our species as well after all, each generation making less children than the last even if accounting for infertility issues.

not necessarily

colonies of mice that are placed in overcrowded habitats despite being in environments where they have no natural predators and have access to plentiful resources exhibit similar behavior

when the population density reaches some threshold, they begin to mature slower, they reproduce less often, and they are more prone to violent responses to trivial social interactions

it is referred to as a sort of an 'intrinsic factor' that may help guide mammalian species to maintain control of population levels on some 'collective subconscious' level, possibly to avoid depleting abundant resources through excessive growth

I’m not talking for everyone, I am talking for the most.
Not even for the most. "Not many countries teach sex in biology". Most European countries for instance do not, they have separate classes that happen before science is even split a part in the curriculum.

Also, biology classes generally give you an explanation behind reproductive process, they are not showing you how to put a pestle in a mortar. While this may change, kids don't really need elaborate lectures to discover masturbation nor there's a need for those to wild animals (with the same exception). Even people with low-function mental disabilities understand the basic urge, so ogryns that should be on the same level if not a bit smarter could do the same.

I remember there being a case how during pre-covid times; a zoo containing Pandas had the damndest time trying to get them to ♥♥♥♥. Then a while after the lockdowns began and the Zoo's closed to the public, they started getting jiggy.

Anyway I haven't followed up on that story so I have no idea if their efforts bore fruit or not.

"Most european countries" - I am from europe, germany to be correct. And most countries do start teaching it at 6th-7th grade.

That is not needed. Just show them the differences in both genders and what is possible and boom, you've got curiousity - Which, you usually do not get, if you run around clothed, not knowing about sex.

T'is also why you've felt no shame when your mom came in during bath time to scrub your back.

Female Ogryns are, most likely, just reduced to baby Ogryn factories.

That is simply untrue. A lot of Ogryn worlds are super premitive and tribal. Due to high gravity environment and the inhabitants they are of little interest to the Imperium beyond as shocktroops.

But these are not the only Ogryn Worlds. There are quite a few Prison worlds in high Gravity Environments that have a lot of Ogryns. Neither feature a breeding program, because Ogryn are too stupid to be formed into actually regimental strengths, but instead get attached to existing Regiments. Which also means there is no guard tithe for Ogryn worlds. Either because they are to primitive and basically exist in very untechnological societies, (and thus it would take a long time teaching them to use technology) making it pointless to "breed them". Or they are from Prison Planets where the education standard is very low too.

Ogryn are, by nature not very smart (there are exceptions) and hail, if they are exclusive from these worlds, from very "Rule of the Strongest" societies. But female Ogryns leaving their homeworlds is not uncommon. They just usually chose not to and the Imperium has no reason to try and make them leave, because the Imperium already doesn't have use for large quanitities of Ogryns to beginn with. Which means they are more than happy with the Volunteers.

There are exceptions such as a certain Psyker Ogryn that appeared in the Ghazghkull Thraka Novel and is so exceptional that the Inquisition picked her up and employs her.

The problem for Darktide is simply: Ogryn Women are a rarity outside their Planets and it would be super strange to have dozens of them running across the board of the Morninstar.

And Ogryn women is also not a Twilek situation where the men are ugly and the female are hot. So if anyone really needs their ogryn to be "female" then just give them a female name. It won't make much of a difference to how they look. Their mammal glands also don't need to be the size to supply several gallons of milk a day, which means it wouldn't make sense for them to have large breasts. But there are no cannon depictions of female Ogryn and i think that is a bigger reason why Fatshark didn't put any in.

And yet you learn it in biology class.

Are you implying that until we learnt the basics of biology and started teaching it to children no life form has ever had sex and it was randomly men and women falling into each other while aroused that allowed life to exist?
C4NNED Nov 24, 2023 @ 2:56pm
Ogryn females exist but they are in very small numbers and are not in combat or support roles due to the fact that they are in small numbers. They tend to be on breeding farms to replenish Ogryn numbers or closely monitored on ogryn planets.

I mean, one is having trouble counting his fingers on the dropship.
Not to equate the big guys to animals, but....well animals don't need to count or be particularly smart to reproduce. Instinct and the old college try are usually more than enough for most species.
