Other than that, home planet makes no difference, it's just flavor text.
Those options are largely there for you to pine and worry over for 30 minutes, then forget about in the next 2 and never see again as there is no way to see what you picked once you leave the screen. Unless you picked Cadia, because then you get access to purple eyes.
as everyone else said, in current state of the game it doesn't matter in the slightest.

A grox prodding Brawler Ogryn from Rocyria chosen by the Sarge will have different lines than a mine thrall local fighter Brawler Ogryn from Mornax who survived the Ulk Massacre, for example - even with the same voice selection (Brawler). There certainly is also a lot of overlap, but it does change things slightly.
No. The Homeworld and other questions are basically a personality test, which then will result in the game offering you 2 of the available personalities. All the questions you answer are pointless otherwise.
I have a "Cadian Psyker" and the personality i picked puts him as grown and raised Atoma Enforcer. Completely shat on my selections.
Of course, that isn't something you realize at first.
Same with my Veteran, who i loved the idea of making him a street urchin, that grew up in the underhive as someone guiding travelers from the upper levels and then later was hired by the guard and thus got into the service...
Personality i picked, because i liked the voice, was "Professional"... which is a hardened guardsman veteran. Again, doesn't really gel with any of my background choices. There is a Veteran personality that doesn't properly call out the "designations" and goes "traxis XXsomething" instead.. that would have fit so much better to my Veteran's background.
Anyway, long story short.. your choices matter only for the Personalities you get offered. Your actual background is the text blurb that goes along with the Personalities, because that is the stuff the personalities will talk about...
Also why i think they should finally let us change this stuff without needing to make a new character.
