I think it depends on the monstrosity. DH will always aggro whoever woke it first and then whoever did the most subsequent damage the second, but if a teammate wakes a DH and you damage it before it teleports to them, it'll come after you instead as its first target.
Chaos Spawn that aggroes you can be de-aggroed onto a different player if you block 3 of its attacks. I think when it finishes its grab attack it'll go after someone else as well.
Plague Ogryn and Beast of Nurgle seem to go after whoever's doing the most damage to them.
All monstrosity attacks can be blocked using the Devil's claw parry special attack for very little or no stamina, in fact Crusher and Mauler heavy attacks can also be reliably blocked this way as well.
It is not random which player the monsters attack.
and when you ahve the aggro of that thing, just dodge and run backwards and let your team do the damage.
If it turns arround to aggro one of those, do you share of damage.
Just another tip.
if a horde spawns during the boss fight... ignore the monster
it is never the boss that will kill you during these hordes.
it is always the horde itself, that blocks your path, and then SLAM the Monster gets you (well ok, then it is the monster killing you ;) - you get the idea)
