Have you heard of eldar? Or 0ficio Assassinorum? Or Imperial Knights?...
Do not pretend like Wh40k was never an anime.
None of those are "anime". The Tau on the other hand...
And subsequently signed up for Khorne's "Rage let's you cope" Newsletter.
Sure. Or you just have a very limited image of anime.
Depends where and how it hits them. Since they have a special augumentation that allows them to compartialize their brains in a similar fashion as dolphins do. And their emergency hibernation that slows down all bodily processes...
Provided the damage is minor enough, they can survive it. They will need brain cybernetics afterwards to restore full function, but survival is not impossible.
Of course, being hit in the head by a bullet that is designed to explode shortly after impact, and only suffer minor damage is the tricky bit. Especially since everyone seems to love their Skittles Smurfs without helmets. Leaving the one vital part of their body they only have one of, entirely unprotected.
Guts, at the best of days, would be a human version of an Exarch.
Eldar are High Elves in Space, not space samurai aspect warriors. They are very Dungeons and Dragons Elves. Which is what they were designed to be by Games Workshop, as all of Warhammer was a response to DnD and GW wanting its own version of it.
Which of the Assassinorum Assassins are supposed to be space super ninja assassins? Because i am not aware of any Temple fitting that description. Callidus impersonate people, including using drugs and implants to change their bodies, they ain't Ninjas. Vindicare are "just" sharp shooters with high tech. Vanus aren't even field operatives. Culexus are "Negative Psykers" (the idea here is that if "Magical aptitude is a scale, then said scale can have a negative value). Eversor are corpses drugged up and kept functioning by drugs.
Now, can you find anime that depict such a thing? Quite likely. But that is like claiming Space Marine are Anime just because there was a "faithful" Star Ship troopers anime adaption around the end of the 80ties, early 90ties, and the Space Marines share their inspiration from Star Ship Troopers. Or claim Lord of the Rings is anime, because of the upcoming The War of the Rohirrim Anime adaption we are getting next year.
Imperial Mechs are not Japanese Mecha either. The existence of Mecha in Anime does not mean every big robot is anime. No self respecting Japanese Mecha show would have boring Imperial Titans. Which are just "what if a fortress could walk?" And then over the years we got smaller Titans... until we at some point got "Knights".
I am sorry, but if you had named the Tau i would have agreed with you, because they were absolutely designed in response to the anime craze. But Eldar have been designed to be High Elves from DnD, which also have this whole "mastery of a path" nonsense, where they fully devote themselves to a life path for a couple centuries. Doesn't get more Elven Trope than that.
None of the Imperial Assassins are Space Ninjas and Imperial Mecha was created at a time where Japanese Mecha looked like Gundam. Now, almost 30 years later, the boarders blurred, but at the time of their inception there was no real anime influence to them.
Nah, i just prefer to see things for what their design intend was, and not because some other genre made something "similar looking" 20 years later, which would still be years in the past from this point.
But why has it to be Strongest = better
I get you hate anime and you are completely blindfolded your entire life but it doesn't mean crap.
Wh40k is like mid anime tier the only thing remotely standing up to anime madness is Chaos.
In Gurren Lagann there's a mecha that uses ENTIRE galaxies as frisbees/toys, just saying.
