Sometimes there's no real reason to use them though, like, i'd pop damage stuff for bosses but if they don't show up yeah i'm gonna hold onto it for like, a ♥♥♥♥ ton of crushers, like this is so context dependant in both VT and Darktide but people are gonna act like you should just 'use them just because'? like, very silly to waste resources imho.
I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it, and save it for a situation where it actually makes sense to use
The healing stimm you should always be using, though, because you can heal people's corruption and them.
That said there's 100% people who don't have any game sense enough and just end up picking them up and never using them even in oh ♥♥♥♥ moments where they should.
Agree, it's a wasted opportunity
It takes 2-3 seconds to activate, which is bad in a pinch
Then they only last 15 seconds which is ridiculously short, too short to have any impact especially considering the time it took to apply the buff to begin with
And Celerity and Combat stims buffs barely make any difference anyway
The Healing and Concentration stims are more useful
But yeah, it's a new mechanic (but one that, frankly, they probably should've done at launch if not for focusing more on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cosmetics) that will need fine tuning
Until whingers get things nerfed and ruined like they do everything else everytime with Obese Megalodon games because people who only lvl 1 char to max have really bad takes about chars they haven't leveled and will never level.
As for stims, well, I'm not sure I'm a big fan. Healing stims are useful for sure, concentration can make a difference depending on your build. But, the few times I would use them, the threat that made me feel I needed it was dealt with. At least my ult is already back. But Combat and Speed... unless I'm alone or with players that aren't reactive, by the time I'd pop them, once again the threat would be dealt with. Speed can be useful if you're lagging behind... unless your teammates are still going fast so you just stay behind anyway.
In short, stims aren't essential ressources. Most of the games I've played since the update, people are not even bothering to take them
This is because people constantly ignore them and don't pick them up.
