Just let the stacks run up and tag once.
Yeah, absolutely tag different things, I've always done that.
It was the desire to constantly tag the same thing that seems pointless, and likely super annoying for everyone else in the mission.
Not really, it's one button press.
Most considerate players have been tagging elites/specials as soon as they're spotted since the game launched.
There is no mod that can remove it for others (All stable mods are client side). For yourself, you can go to settings > audio> flip the Ping audio to "off" which means you will not hear it anymore but your teammates will absolute hate you esp if you go Damnation Hi Shock or Auric.
They get bonus points if they don't bother to turn off the new "Tag location on double click" option :D
