Ogryn armor from the cover

Why isn't this actually in the game? I know that FS wants everyone to look like a homeless person so they feel pressured into buying premium cosmetics, but I'd like my tanky boi to actually look like he's built for tanking.

It is in the game, it's hanging on the wall just out of reach in the cosmetics store :)

Like 90% of the items at launch that weren't in the game but in art but It's in the game files, you can get for the drip mod to access it but it's only client side so mehhh. Possibly new penance cosmetic if the omnissiah blesses us.

Weird enough when you about to choose Ogryn class you see the Ogryn wear it
no clue why they keep it away

it was the same with the helmet the veteran wears, they later added it to be unlocked through the Penance system, probably in response to community complaints/questions about the lack of that helmet.

idk, he gives me more of a scary melee butcher vibe than that of a defensive tank. A knife would look good on him.

Yea, it is very annoying, they advertise Gurry "Brunt" Cernik the Ogryn on the cover art, but you have to pay for that armor, when it is in cycle.
