Loading screens everywhere
Game loads so long and many times. Want to change operative ? There you go, loading screen just to select it. And another when you pick one. Training grounds have their own loading screen. After a mission ends, it rarely lets to just go back to the hub. I usually must wait staring at the group, space does nothing. Ah, loading screen after ofcourse. Even when it all loads, first ~20 sec of mission is wasted on running without enemies around.
At least item related shops, inventory and talents don't have loading screens.

Yes please Fatshark make it so that after I start a mission, it instantly teleports me to the end of the mission so i don't have to play through it, just give me the reward credits and materials.

Small tip.
You don't have to wait through the mission end screen. If you look at your monitor, you can see how you can skip the reward panels.
Also buying an SSD or nvme would be a great idea.

It's because Darktide is trying to beat Starfield in the next "most time spent in a loading screen" Steam Awards.

It's because their servers are bad, they should allow an option to cache more of it locally on the client computers themselves.

Like the darkcache mod but even better.

Buy an SSD, otherwise I have no idea what you guys are talking about it.

You know reading gives you a lot of benefit. You and OP should practice it more.

Did the Ogryn hit you on the head? Either your computer sucks or you're using HDD which I was using in BETA & loading times were atrocious. Since having SSD it's less than 20 secs, my experience. No need to be a c*nt.

Using only Samsung 980pro 7.000M/s Nvmes here...

Doesnt help when waiting for Consoles/HDD Player to finish loading :steamsad:
When playing with Friends i know using Nvmes aswell we load in a mission in 10-15 Secs.
When playing with Randos and they are on a Console cheaper then my Mainboard 30-45 Secs.

Nothing to do about it eccept ask FS for Opt-out Crossplay
Make a Hardware Check and block HDD user
OR start the mission before the last Stoneage HDD user booted in

not very sensible / realistic tho

I have it. i5-9xxx, GTX1080. With HDD I would probably refund this game. Compared to everything else I've seen, loading time is riddiculous.

Well thats rather low specs, you might have other bottlenecks then the Drive....

But again, often your just waiting for Servers to respond / Slowbies finish loading.

Don't bother with people who think the best way is to personally insult you if you trying to help or state facts. These individuals don't care about voice of reason. And usually also unable to.

And can confirm. If you running the game on an SSD, and loading times are laughable.
- It takes longer for Steam to start the game launcher as it takes for the game after launch, to get to the title screen.
- After title screen, loading time to character select takes 4 sec
- Loading into the Morningstar after selecting a character takes 10-12 sec
(actually counted a couple of days ago when some other OP made a similar thread complaining about mission start load times.)

And also THIS! :steamthis:
Long loading times at mission start are also not FS server's fault. The game is coded in a way that every player gets dropped in the game at the same time. So if someone is playing on a potato, or has slow connection, everyone else will also sit as long at the loading screen as long it takes for the slowest player to load.

Dunno what to tell you, literally not having this problem despite my system being quite old now. Perhaps you're waiting for other players to finish loading or some other issue.

You're loading into morningstar after starting game is fast or slow? For me its less than 30secs from open to running around morning star.

Hardware a few generations behind there to be complaining.

preload mod on nexus helps but i agree we should definitely not have to deal with so many streaming assets

20-30s is quite long, especially if we count other loading screens. If you mean loading to the ship, it is ordinar and all fine. But briefing is the other story (20-30s, maybe a bit more).

Eg. compare this to Vermintide 2 - I can only recall 2 loading screens after party is made. When game is getting launched and when its finished. Both visibly faster than here. Sone ppl here try to feel better about themselves by laughing about my specs / pretending they know something about hardware. But what is the reason for newer game like this to have so long loading times? Justs cusa its newer? No, it is mostly poorly optimized code and surely badly written when it comes to how numerous loading screens are. Vermintide 2 is very good comparison here.
