Does having Fury of the Faithful, "an augmented version of Chastise the Wicked", prevent you from getting the penance? I nailed a mutant mid-charge with a heavy attack but it didn't proc.

This one is tad tricky to nail, you need to land a hit DURING charge, once you stop, even for a split second, it will not count.

Took me 4 tries to get it.

Yeah really need to do it with a charged thunder hammer, which should be fairly trivial at max level and on malice. I've tried to do it with an eviscerator and a crusher multiple times and nothing. And no, I'm pretty sure upgrading the base ability doesn't disqualify you.

I managed to do this yesterday, the timing is tough, i used the electric hammer and then charged it and heavy strike ready use chastise the wicked and let go of the heavy strike early enough to hit it.

It is possible with the upgraded charge, done it myself. Wasn't even trying to do the achievement, just saving the skin of my fellow varlet.

It does work, although maybe a bit hit and miss. Mine procced on one that was being tazered by the psyker and not all the ones I'd hit charging. Using Fury of the Faithful and Eviscerator,

You should kill mutant before Fury of the Faithful has ended.

The mutant does not need to be charging as it turns out, try the two handed chainsword. Get the special move going on a mutant, before it finishes activate your charge. Worked for me yesterday!

see mutant and wait for it to either grab someone or bang against a wall -> thunderhammer -> empower -> charge heavy -> dash -> ??? -> profit
