Voidstrike is now the go to Staff for Psyker.
It basically melts every single enemy from elites to specials. No need for any other staff anymore.

Why, what changed?

I didn't read the entirety of the patch notes. Was the staff buffed or is it better because of the class overhaul improving warp damage?
Impact damage massively buffed, explosion damage buffed, hits most armor types harder and more headshot damage if you mastered the art of centering the orb on their heads. You can legit one shot dreg ragers on damation, with their buff up to almost 2000 HP.

I'd say it's very strong, almost OP but just shy of it. IMO, it's probably the best all-rounder staff though since it's basically effective against every enemy and mission type. I still prefer flame staff for monstrosities for the insane DPS thanks to Talents, or Zap staff for stun on elite spam missions.

Nice. Guess I'll keep using it forever.

It's unyielding mods are poor but the Voidstrike is one of the few weapons able to stagger monsters, chaos spawns included. With all the ways the team can stumble one you can chain stagger it with warp flurry. It's absurd on everything atm.

All are good. I even like the new Surge staff. Only Purgatos staff is useless right now.

I've been enjoying the beefed Voidstrike. It's nice that Purgatus isn't the one I'd rather not be without on T-5 now. Still ran a Purgatus with the new talent config and it was probably more useful than my Void would have been for that run. The staves have been opened up IMO and that's a good thing.

In answer to some posts the voidstrike acts differently now. It hits harder now including armored targets. With the increased charge speed blessing for secondary strikes it's ridiculously fun.

nah.

By the time it's charged Surge has two shot whatever it was.

It's like the thunder hammer or a missile launcher, great damage but the wind up is trash.

I like Surge more as well, but Void is in theory faster to kill a crusher on t5. It needs 2 headshots, but after the first hit the crusher is toppled and you need 2 more shots. Surge need 3 hits too.
In practice, they are the same but as soon as you can shoot through a horde, Surge will lose. Well, for that we can use shards.

Yup.

They buffed its damage by like 4x and charge time by like 2.5x for no reason at all. On top of that, Warp Flurry (recover peril on weak spot hits) is almost twice as strong. It's just a fast cannon that 1-shots specials and 2-shots elites that's cheap, fast, and kills like 50 enemies with a single well lined shot. Makes no sense but hey, it is what it is.
