I'd say it's very strong, almost OP but just shy of it. IMO, it's probably the best all-rounder staff though since it's basically effective against every enemy and mission type. I still prefer flame staff for monstrosities for the insane DPS thanks to Talents, or Zap staff for stun on elite spam missions.
In answer to some posts the voidstrike acts differently now. It hits harder now including armored targets. With the increased charge speed blessing for secondary strikes it's ridiculously fun.
nah.
By the time it's charged Surge has two shot whatever it was.
It's like the thunder hammer or a missile launcher, great damage but the wind up is trash.
In practice, they are the same but as soon as you can shoot through a horde, Surge will lose. Well, for that we can use shards.
They buffed its damage by like 4x and charge time by like 2.5x for no reason at all. On top of that, Warp Flurry (recover peril on weak spot hits) is almost twice as strong. It's just a fast cannon that 1-shots specials and 2-shots elites that's cheap, fast, and kills like 50 enemies with a single well lined shot. Makes no sense but hey, it is what it is.
Max crit + monstrous surge does it in two on V
