Let's talk about getting stuck in the trapper's net, and being good teammates
We've all been there. Stuck in the trapper's net I mean. I thought everyone knew this already but I was just in a mission that got wiped due to this. When a trapper captures a teammate in his net, release your teammate first before attacking the trapper or doing anything else if you are close by. It literally takes less than a second to release someone. LESS THAN A SECOND!!!! Considerably less than it takes to help someone rise after they taken a wound. I had 2 players walk right past me while I was stuck in the net and just not help. They got destroyed by the crushers and the mission wiped. I had a plasma gun and could have handled the crushers easily. It would've saved the mission. I would like everyone to know - release your teammates from the net. It takes less than a second, for real.

issue people think that by stop attacking they will die, if they help. you have to consider what you can do. nades aren't for preppin hordes only they clear spaces for you. psyker has good talent that makes you better at reviving then the ogyrn who is the chief medic of the group in the first place.
I had trapped team of 4 because of OP's advice.
Secure area first. Always.

secure the area first lmao
ive seen players get trapped or downed by ragers, snipers, or shotgunners when saving a trapped player.

How do you secure the area in an auric damnation mission? You will have specials flying all over the place for 5 minutes straight. Do not get me wrong, I am against blindly trying to save a teammate and wiping the whole team because of it.

But OP has a good point. If a player is netted and someone is close: Get that net off!

Also people should try blocking when interacting with downed teammates.

If player dont understand how much stamina he have and what is going on around of course he will be downed. But thats really hard to fail releasing from net, how often i see this i don't know? 1 fail per 100 attempts?

They can, for exapmle, dodge 1 sniper shot and save player between pf.

I think in Darktide you don't need to manually hold block and then start the revive, it does it automatically. In VT2 you did/do need to hold block before revive in order to block during the revive. If I am wrong on that then someone please go ahead and correct me.

I'll go ahead and correct you :p

Unless there is some setting I have missed that enables autoblock. You must block if you want to block while ressing :)

Never blocked while ressing, never had problems with that - stamina or peril is eating damage automaticaly, have't touched anything like that in settings so i don't understand what is wrong with your characters.

Everythings going great I'm at full health, then all of a sudden I get trappers netted and a flame grenade thrown right on top of me and I'm downed and dead :(

So its a problem with my characters if I block while ressing and not using up my toughness and health.. ok..

can't count how many missions I lost because I or someone else thought "nah, the trapper is reloading I got time to get him back up" .. no you don't ..he will get your ass and you will get stuck in the stupid release animation so you won't be able to dodge.. and if it isn't the trapper than it is the silent hound behind you. .. or the flame thrower you overlooked, or the bomber suddenly turning everything into a ♥♥♥♥ show.
Disablers die first unless you are in an absolute clutch situation and got no way out but a prayer.

It depends. If you can one tap the trapper you may as well while it's standing there being a derp. If the team's being swamped, gotta keep everyone up. Definitely don't chase the stupid thing though.

That definitely is not true, you are always blocking while ressing provided you have the stamina. However you will not block any ranged attack from any angle, even if you have a shield or are using deflector. So that might cause some confusion.

Unless the person is actually added value, secure the area first. Once finished, leave them behind to suffer the consequences of their actions.

I stand corrected then. Glad I tried to help with RMB everytime until now :(
