Healthbars on enemies
Debuff Indicators on enemies.
Crosshair replacementrs.
All of these add combat advantages. Especially Healthbars that show up clearly in the dark, fog, and through fires -- even when you don't see the enemy itself -- and quickly lets you see if any enemies survived an explosion or a heavy attack after being knocked over instead of waiting to see if they try to stand up.
But, Fatshark allows them, so.. Kinda sucks for players who don't enjoy the added visual clutter.
QoL. Should have been in the game from the start, but Faildsharks are Failedsharks.
Kinda yes, but still not competitive coop.
Gives solid proofs that your team sucks and you're the best guy who's soloing them through the map. Scoreboard is a must have.
Was in V2, but Failedsharks are Failedsharks. Game has so many critical flows that mods are not noticeable behind them
Even some "information" mods cross the line, the health bar mod for example gives away enemy positions in a much clearer manner than without it, especially when obstructed
I think it's fine that Fatshark doesn't act on it, but it's still up to people not to lie to themselves and accept the fact that they're indeed playing with cheats
And then there are some mods like additional character slots that you absolutely should stay away from, because there is no telling what kind of damage it'd do to you entire account if it becomes forbidden or stops working altogether
Mods that are cheats
Do mods give an advantage to the person using them - sometimes, dependent on the mod, yes.
The other question is why does it matter? You aren't competing with your team. In the end as long as you make it to the end its a win. It's a cooperative PvE game.
Never once said or even implied advantage-inducing mods don't exist. Simply stated a fact that counter's the ridiculous thread name, so it really does work both ways.
Information is cheats. Beaing able to tell where the enemy is is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wallhack, wallhack is a cheat. Literally half the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheats are based on giving people more information.
Cause it's MP you numbnut. Any MP game that allows cheats should be treated as trash.
Gives solid proof you hev no idea that cheats aren't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ allowed in MP, whether it's "competitive" or not.
----
Any clowns posting stupid ♥♥♥♥ like "huurr durr not a competitive coop" that are using tons of mods should be banned from community and given a VAC ban.
All extra info is cheating. Health bar is cheating. It makes you prioritise targets, therefore you get better score focusing on weaker targets and stealing kills. Therefore you leave other players out of gaining XP. I have an argument and you can't fathom the worth of information, or the fact that I gave an obvious example to illustrate the point more clearly. Seethe.
Also telling players which room has grims or scripts is cheating, because it saves time and discourages good teamplay, as the team should stay together looking for these things, as opposed to have one guy wonder off looking forr these things. It saves time and therfore people with info cheats earn levels and other rewards faster than others.
/em looks around at the world today and how 'information' is manipulated to cheat...
yeah...
Hard facts. Really wish there was solo mode so I didn't have to play with cheaters.
