Anyone else break their gaming mouse playing Darktide?
I have just broken a third. The buttons still work but it is not as responsive as it was following purchase. This is a Steel Series Rival 3 wireless, it is my second steel series device. The first was a tecknet cordless optical mouse hackjob that went out real quick. Oddly enough the steel series devices tend to last for 3 months a piece.

So now I just purchased a cheap generic wireless USB mouse device with just the right amount of buttons to aid me in serving DAS IMPERIUM. I reckon if I keep my costs down the pain of breaking yet another device will be minimal. Thought I'd ask if anyone else goes through usb mouse devices like I do. Also, can anyone suggest a decent gaming mouse design that can survive a calendar quarter at the very least? Hell, I'd take a device made of plasteel and or adamantine at this point.

And also, in closing...

Holy OMNISSIAH!! Bless these ravaged hulls for their machine spirits are willing but their bodies are broken!!! \o/

I have a mouse that comes with a button that clicks many times while being held....it helps keep the LMB healthy...

The lateral "thumb" keyboard on my logitech mouse started being less responsive due to excessive weapon swaps on DT.

Bookmarked as a potential next replacement, cheers!

What are you doing to your mice to go through so many? I'm still using a mouse from 2014 and despite one of the thumb buttons going a bit soft, everything still works just fine.

If you've broken your mouse by throwing it to the wall I'd recommend you to quite the game and get some help.
If it's literally just stopped working for no obvious reasons, I'd recommend you to get Logitech g604 lightspeed. Wireless. Battery lasts for 1-2 months. 6 extra buttons under thumb.

Well I play Auric level game modes, things get really intense. I also do really crazy button mashing combinations when in melee.

I can assure you that the mice units got broken serving the IMPERIUM purging heretics. I don't have issues with battery life, just buttons that fail. Auric level skirmish are to blame I reckon!! :D

My cheap-o A4Tech mouse was mid before I got into Darktide and still is with no dip in performance.

As a fellow crazy button masher combinator, I have to say I haven't broken a single mouse. On Vermintide or this.

Think I was using a Cyberpower PC mouse before using my current Razer Basilisk V3

I got a Macs r8, the roller-button is broken, it still works well, got it few years ago.

Got a replacement 2 years ago, which is still waiting for the current one to die...

Maybe chillax and don't bring down the almighty power of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth onto your poor mouse every time you need to click.

I've got over 700 hours here and over 1100 in VT2, I'm well aware of how much button mashing is needed (as I prefer melee combat) and yet that, plus 9 years of use in plenty of other games and I've yet to break mine. I'm genuinely curious as the only way I can see somebody breaking mice in a short time is REALLY whipping it around hard and slamming those buttons with a lot of force or just having the worst luck.

Maybe I've just been really lucky as mine (a Razer Ouroboros) didn't seem to be known as a very reliable one.
Some people are very heavy handed. I got a friend who goes through like 3 gamepads a year because they keep breaking.

Do keep in mind that a auto clicker button is considered a macro which is cheating in a ton of games and will get you banned. Just in case you didn't know.

Razer Synapse has a setting for literally any key on your keyboard and mouse (Assuming you use Razer, other brands have their own software) and enabling the turbo setting is not bannable offense lol

You'll only cop a ban if you somehow manage to exceed a weapons attack speed using macros or other programs.

I can absolutely manually drop dozens of clicks per second on any key, or I can just enable turbo and hold the key down to achieve the same thing without crippling myself further and damaging my hardware lol
Fatshark absolutely can't tell the difference between holding the button for Turbo clicks and physically pressing and releasing ... unless they have some slick spyware observing my hands in realtime.
