Stealth though? See a sniper while knee deep in a horde? Pop stealth, pop the sniper, get back to chopping down poxwalkers.
Support Veteran is OKish (taking the middle tree). Almost all Vet tree builds don't make it to the last passive (red outline) because they're all mediocre. The Veteran is not an active-heavy class like Psyker or Zealot. Veteran has a mediocre melee path as well when speccing into the right on the last quarter.
Veteran has the easiest skill tree to reach breakpoints (i.e. reducing the amount of hits needed to kill) for marksman weapons like the Stub Revolver, Kantraels and Helbore. Assuming your team plays with you this is your strongest build. The Veteran has access to a lot of stacking Rending perks, which can make the Recon Lasgun a very powerful pick.
