Game wont launch after loading shader cache

Hey, I am just wondering if anyone has had this issue come up when they try launching their game. The launcher opens fine and I can launch the game, but after the small popup that reads something along the lines of "building/loading shader cache" closes after a quick second, Steam will say its running, task manager says that Darktide is running, but the window for the game won't open, and Steam will say it has stopped running after a few minutes.

I have tried running the launcher and the protected exe version in administrator mode, I have reinstalled the game twice, and verified the game files twice, but nothing has fixed this issue.

It is weird since I have never had this issue happen before until this Wednesday and as far as I am aware, nothing has changed on my computer, so I have no clue what to do. Has anyone had this issue? Got any suggestions as to what I can try to do to fix this? Thanks.

I am in the same boat. It was working fine earlier but now nothing. I went to Fatshark's FAQ and did what they recommended and nothing has worked so far.

same here game doesn't work i put too many hours in for a refund.

Do a search here on Darktide Steam forums for posts containing %AppData% and you'll find a host of suggested fixes you can attempt, give some of those a try. I had to mess with that plus reinstall my game, but it more than doubled my FPS in some places.

Alright, I looked around and found their FAQ for technical issues and this is what worked for me:

Delete Darktide AppData
Press the Windows key + R
Enter %appdata% within the search input and select 'OK'
Navigate to: AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
Delete the Darktide directory
Launch Darktide as normal
