I think his (very valid) point is that I'd take anyhting from Fatshark with a grain of salt.
Especially when it concerns stuff like this. I mean the Ubersreik five are killing Chaos Warriors of Nurgle like flies. And as a 40k player of 20years, what the rejects are already killing in DT is FAR and beyond the "regular grunt" level that Fatshark wants to stick to.
Neither in 40k lore or the actual tabletop would an ogryn, a psyker, a guardsman and a zealot survive even a single DT mission. Point is, despite Fatshark claiming otherwise, the rejects are already heroes much like the Ubersreik five.
That being said, it is of course Fatshark's decision to do with the game what they want. Whether it makes sense or not.

He's not been fired. He's been put on a different project. On the FS forums he literally just relayed the upcoming balance changes.
