Plague marine raid boss?
Get hunted by a plague marine while doing some grandiose mission? It would be silly to think the players will kill it. Think Resident Evil tyrants. Thoughts? Prayers?

What's the justification for it not killing the players instantly tho lmao

FS said no SM in Darktide. So unlikely to see one implemented anytime soon. If at all.

It was said specifically "No Space Marines, neither playable nor enemy"

Yeah Hedge said a lot of stupid things, most of them being incorrect. He's literally the "immeasurably complex" "Call of Duty" guy who has since been fired.

dont get seen dont get hit. i would imagine the PM has his own ♥♥♥♥ hes gotta do, im not sure how lucid PMs are if they're still somthing in there or if they're like zombies or somthing. I mentioned it being a raid which could include special mechanics for the mission, a detection mechanic of sorts.

He was not fired, he left on his own, he spent a year training his replacement, who already abandoned this toxic community after two months. Fatshark Catfish also confirmed on Fatshark Forums there are no Space Marines coming.

Anything is possible. I'd say it's unlikely but if Hedge said it won't happen then chances are it probably will at least be considered by the dev team in the future going forward. Most of what he said has already been proven untrue by changes made to the game post launch.

Found Hedge's alt right here.

I think his (very valid) point is that I'd take anyhting from Fatshark with a grain of salt.

Especially when it concerns stuff like this. I mean the Ubersreik five are killing Chaos Warriors of Nurgle like flies. And as a 40k player of 20years, what the rejects are already killing in DT is FAR and beyond the "regular grunt" level that Fatshark wants to stick to.

Neither in 40k lore or the actual tabletop would an ogryn, a psyker, a guardsman and a zealot survive even a single DT mission. Point is, despite Fatshark claiming otherwise, the rejects are already heroes much like the Ubersreik five.

That being said, it is of course Fatshark's decision to do with the game what they want. Whether it makes sense or not. :conwayshrug:

P.S. Sister Septic Tank left because he was terrible at being a CM. The only thing worse than a constantly agitated moron like Hedge is someone who tries to be witty.

Fatshark Catfish was first, she immediately left Steam Discussions and retreated into Fatshark Forums, Sister/Brother Septicemia was rude from the beginning and was famous "femboy Hedge" with "pearl clutching" meme. Although the message about "toxic community and treating CM as punching bags" was spot on.

If it looks and sounds like a punching bag, that means it probably is one.

I would like to see this in mission where the boss makes random appearances and you have to fend him off throughout the entire mission, ultimately leading to us escaping him

He's not been fired. He's been put on a different project. On the FS forums he literally just relayed the upcoming balance changes.
