rn if you're a decent shot the cooldown is obscene in damnation, making the team virtually immortal. plasma will likely see its cleave reduced
revolver will prob be ignored despite one taping virtually anything in auric (yes, even crushers)
Revolver was 1 tapping pre patch 14 and pre patch 13 on crushers (and everything else) w/25% tCarapace 25% Unyeilding t4 surgical t4 Handcannon and 2 seconds of ads outside volley fire.
Now you have to have VF up AND crit Ragers in the head to 1 tap them. it makes me sad that my break points on those changed.
Muties have always been consistently a 2-3 tap enemy.
(also note you need to build 2/3rds sharpshooter, last third commissar trees)
but if they nerf the revolver thats okay. We got bolter, plasma, vraks headhunter, agripinaa head hunter, Hellbore3, MG12 and slug shotty meeting 1 tap break point needs. most of them outside of volley fire. Then if those dont tickle the pickle enough we got all three of the infantry autoguns making music in very low ttk and ofc the good ole MK8 Braced Auto bullet hosing heretics since beta.
On the other side of the curtain Chainsword mint, Knife cherry, Powersword3 & 6 doing the Emperor' Will. The good ole thwack and smack shovel for the stoutest of Imperial Guardsmen, the ridiculously metal Chain Axe and if youre in the mood to solo any of the monsters on Auric Maelstrom le stonewall defense Devil's Claw with a parry guaranteed to turn your beta horde shooter into a chad soulslike.
That being said i honestly dont see the complaint about veteran being OP. Its not like we are running powersword through the whole map anymore with 12 empowered strikes, faster than a zealot and stronger than Ogryn in toughness terms. We get melted pretty easily if anything hits us in the butt. (unless ya know you take exhilirating takedown and out for blood then you just slay and turn into an unkillable ♥♥♥♥ and wade through the imperiums foes like an ox fording a river)
revolver has big downtime on reload i dont thing they nerf it
Maybe a nerf to plasma gun too. I don't think it needed a buff, it already felt like the best weapon for a melee heavy vet since its the quickest and easiest to snipe a special through a horde (pistol is good too but it doesn't have infinite cleave and you actually have to aim with it whereas plasma's hit box is so big you basically can't miss).
I can tell you from personal experience using a 500 rating voidstrike staff, that it is now too slow and too weak to keep up with anybody else, on damnation at least. You have to work way too hard just to get any kills, even with a full charge.
