best full auto hipfire autogun - veteran
seems to be a lot of overlap between the autoguns, tons of variants. wondering if anyone else gets tired of burst fire and ADS. which is the best base for full auto hipfire?

I personally like inf auto more than braced despite overall worst dps, since you can actually aim for sniper with inf gun.

With that out of the way I suggest either Inf Mk 1 for it's high damage profile and pierce 1 soft target or Inf Mk 5 for it's insane dps with high firerate and ammo count.

Both of which work well enough in close range hipfire tho Mk 5 feel better if you just want to hold own left click with Mk 1 need you to control your burst a bit.
Mk8 is the best by a lot because it shot cleaves enemies. This is especially good with Deathspitter blessing, which boosts power (and therefore hitmass) even more. It is more like a ghetto shotgun than a bullet hose automatic and it's very efficient on giant hordes of enemies (the game).

The other autoguns did finally get buffs though and are not horrible weapons at all. The Columnus is basically a Krourk stubber with less Maniac and Unarmored damage. Graia is like an auto pistol with a range slightly better than a fart but not by much.

Agrip. Did they actually use Mk8 twice with the braced autogun marks? Man the naming system is a mess.

I was maining the Graia MK4 simply because it got that massive ammunition capacity buff for both your overall and the magazine capacity itself, but was having a tougher time on the higher difficulties when the hordes are much denser as well as being packed with more Elite/Special enemies and everything generally having higher HP.

Generally never having to worry about ammo was a huge plus side with Scrounger running and in coherency for the Graia Mk4

Anyways, I Tested the Agripinaa Mk VIII in the Test Area and found out it has the ability to penetrate(Cleave) Targets which never occurred to me that was the issue i never realized the Gaia MK4 had and started making sense why i wasn't really thinning out hordes as fast before they hit melee range.

Agripinaa Mk VIII has the highest Base Damage of the braced autos As far as i know.

Now I'm attempting to far for a good Mk8 Agrip and hoping for the best, though i think i'll still take the Gaia out now and then for the sheer amount of fire it puts out.

Side note if you like the Aimed Autos the Starting Agrip Mk1 has Cleave as well and hits the hardest of the aimed Auto's while the Graia Mk VIII is extremely controllable but does not get Penetration so using it on hordes to thin them out isn't really a good option.

the one with the most DMG is the best, have tried them all quite a bit in auric and vastly prefer the highest dmg one, it is also alot more accurate so overall u use less ammo, with the 2 other ones u will find yourself often unable to kill snipers and enemies that are a bit further away, it no fun to be spamming a whole mag and not hit a single shot on a sniper, but with the highest dmg one (forget its name) u can reliably kill snipers that are pretty far away, only thing it struggles a bit with is carapace but bring krak grenades for that and u have a great build! Also, for the braced autogun you NEED the ammo regen on special/elite kills passive and u have almost infinite ammo even with No ammo pickups modifier for auric maelstrom

I really like the MKV autogun, it's like a tommy gun, big clip, not so wonky (stable), and good to clear crowds (or even better when enemies are runnin straight at you in a line so you can line up a headshot chain. Recently I've fell in love with Plasma Rifle, even mediocre player like me can get hundreds of kills with it and it has a nice clearing splash to it. Tho I managed to only play 4/5 difficulty so I cannot say how those weapons will go on max difficulty. Also starving for crafting mats here... wish I could focus farm some stuff like this mission have a chance to yield more/additional Plasteel. Rerolling crap weapons and/or to get those perks takes ages.

Agripinaa Mk1 IA
moving spread: 31.5 (80% mobility)
hipfire recoil: .39 (80% stability)
hipfire moving recoil: .43 (80% stability)

Columnus Mk5 IA
moving spread: 30.26 (80% mobility)
hipfire recoil: .40 (80% stability)
hipfire moving recoil: .44 (80% stability)

Graia Mk8 IA
moving spread: 31.4 (80% mobility)
hipfire recoil: .39 (80% stability)
hipfire moving recoil: .44 (80% stability)

Best on paper standing still: Agripinaa Mk1 IA or Graia Mk8 IA
Best on paper moving: Columnus Mk5 IA

I've recently been using the Columnus MKV infantry autogun to move away from the voice + plasma meta, I highly recommend it. The high dmg and mobility is insane and its fairly accurate from the hip + with the fast reload you can keep your targets highlighted easily. You can hip fire during a hunting grounds rush and eliminate all the dogs no problem while aiming down the sights to snipe if needed. I enjoy using it with the left side skill tree for Executioner's Stance then going right for Agile Engagement an Onslaught and middle for Rending Strikes. All around a great gun try it out!

I love the Columnus MK2 Braced autogun. For me it has the best hipfire mode.

if you intend to hip-fire full-auto while moving, braced autoguns are far superior to infantry autoguns, since they do not build up as much spread in hip-fire and actually have less recoil while moving

if you intend to stand still or crouch while firing full-auto, braced and infantry are relatively equal
