You can get lucky, but you have pretty much the same luck in normal shop as well.
Most of my 21 HP, 17 Thougness, 3 stamina curios are from Melk limited offer and about 2-3 from mission reward.
It's really the opposite of a good idea, my god. If you like deleting all your ordo ingots, maybe. Save those for when a weapon with a desirable rank IV blessing shows up instead. Mystery purchases in this game generally are mostly good for deleting your currency when you feel like it's burning a hole in your pocket, and getting nothing but vendor trash in return.
Rather than do that, check the requisition shop as often as you can manage and eventually a good curio will appear. The sad fact is that it's pure rng ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nonsense, and 99% of the curios that show up both at melk's and at the regular shop are total garbage and a waste of everyone's time. Or in other words, player retention measures in 2023.
And you really want +16% toughness at a minimum, ideally +17%. Likewise health, +20% at a minimum, +21% if you can get it. Stamina goes up to +3 so probably dont settle for +2. Wounds only ever go up to +1 so you're fine settling for a lower power rating curio there.
