How to deal with Ravagers?
How do you deal with ravagers and enemies with melee attacks that can't be block and who keep chaining their attacks.

9/10 times if i die, it's becuase of these idiots.

dodge backwards, use heavies or pushes while they're not chaining in order to get small stuns. Ogryn's special attacks on a lot of weapons will stagger hard enough to knock them out of their combo, or activated chain can do similar (and usually splatter the rager as well).

They can absolutely be blenders, it's true. I'm still prone to losing a lot of hp to them if I mess up, but distance and knowing what in your kit can stun or stagger them will help a lot.
You're meant to kill them with ranged weapons before they get close but if you have to melee then block, dodge back and wait for an opening.

Ragers?

You backpedal. Use your ranged weapon. Have your teammate help kill them. Have a weapon that can guarantee a stagger, or Catachan Sword parry.

They're meant to overwhelm you with attacks, as you (quite literally) cannot dodge those multi-swings. You just have to block until they slow down to a single-attack.

Some weapons can stagger them, then of course some blitz and abilities can also, and for those who good firepower can delete them in a second before they come melee range.

Specific answers come with the class you play.

You can Use the special attack riposte on the devils claw swords and they are going to kill themselves

Stagger them, backpedal (backwards dodge), time hits VERY carefully, and if all else fails go into defense and ping them to let allies kill them.

They are specifically designed as a skill check for melee and team work. If you can't handle them solo, then simply don't. Tag and let your team help you.

They are supposed to make you backpedal to prevent you from speed running the level. Stagger them or shoot them. Don't be afraid to back off or run away if you're on your own. Spot them for your team to avoid nasty surprises.
They have high stagger resistance but they're not immune to it. Any melee weapon with a fast low-damage special attack can stagger them during their combo. Ogryn can push them, the force sword's push follow up will send them to the ground. They always get staggered by chain weapons ripping into them unlike crushers/maulers.

On my Ogryn, heavy overhead staggers them.

On Psyker, Dueling Sword heavy thrust headshots kill them fast, or Psykinetic's Wrath to stagger for space.

On Veteran, if they're attacking you in melee, somebody saves you or you eat ♥♥♥♥. Don't get in that position.

On Zealot, space your dodges and keep swinging. Braced Autogun with T4 Maniac perk is also a fantastic sidearm for this purpose and because of this issue.

9/10 you shoot the bastards, only melee them if you have no other choice but by then the game is already half way to hell at that point. Shoot them from the outside, or use some kind of grenade to stumble them if you wanna engage in melee. You are not supposed to melee them at all. Maybe you can get away with using a revved up chainsaw weapon against ONE at a time but when you have 15 bearing down on you in Auric missions, you shoot to kill from the outset. The God Emperor protects.

If you have a parry weapon just parry them.

As others said, your best defense is taking them out before they get close. Failing that, block and dodge or dodge+slide (more distance) backwards. Ofc it all depends on your class, build and weapons. Psykers with Force Swords can just push+attack them down if it's just 1. Heavier weapons like an oggy's shield can just smash a group of them in the face and that's that. Ults can stagger them, throw them down, stealth, etc. Nades ofc also help.

The main thing usually is to get distance to buy the time to react.

It depends on the class, the situation and the weapon that you use.
There is no single best answer to this. Maybe OP should narrow down a little.
Chaos Oct 29, 2023 @ 10:38am
Zealot with hammer weapon put them in their place.

Ogryn with Shield also stunlock them.

Vet...well you better kill them at range but if all else fail, you can have good success with a decent power sword with power cycler...without it you are better off with devil claw and spam parry lol.

Psyker can spam either void or fire staff to cc and kill, smite also help lock them down, if you like live dangerously you can try dueling sword.
