The main problem with Veteran were the damage reduction and Powersword. Powersword isn't as strong as it used to be (albeit probably still OP at the moment) and the damage reduction is gone entirely.

The issue is with Fatshark INSISTING the Powersword must be available to Veteran, instead to a class on which it makes much more sense like Zealot. Just like the Zealot has access to weapons like the Stub Revolver and Kantrael. It makes both classes capable of kind-of just doing everything.

With T4 power cycle and a damage or cleave blessing, its basically day 1 power sword but with more steps. Plus with the incredible power or a well rounded plasma gun can smoke most of the level faster than a psyker, almost makes the psyker look balanced. But thats my perspective of it

they cried and complained for weeks and they got what they wanted. I played a few games after patch 14 and saw nothing but OP vets 1 shooting everything with the plasma rifle. Its like why have the changes to other classes if vet is STILL has an answer for everything by just 1 shot?

That's because vets are the elves of Darktide, except the elves in Darktide will start screeching and whining on every platform whenever they get a slight nerf, and you can't blame them, it worked and now they're the best class again (excluding any known bug-abusing class)

The plasma gun needed the extra cleave in my opinion. It's slow, you must be on target, and has low ammo. It has its faults. I love the plasma gun, but you can't shoot everything in sight with it. It's meant to be an elite killer. Now if they are lined up right, it can help with horde clear. The class that needs some love with their weapons are our poor big 'uns. Needs some more variety.

Nope that is not True, Powersword Makes More sense in the Veteran, a lot of Sargents Have a Powersword, Zealots and the Ministorum in General Most of the Time uses Chain Weapons, mostly chainsword or Evicerator, the Real one not the baby thing we have now.


And i Guess most People play on to low Dificulty tried Heresy and Dammnation auric and normal and i dit not see anything OP, most of the Time you just Die.

Makes no sense no Astra unit uses Two handed Weapons, ok maby some homebrew Regiments but no official i know of, but something that Would be Cool would be Laspistol Close Combat Weapon Combi like 99% of Sargents have or Commisars. the Combination of Chainsword/Powersword with Lass/Bolter or Plasma pistol is the most common thing in the Astra Millitarum

yeah it is me again, people complain to mutch where there is no Problem, people should stop Calling X and Y is OP when it isnt, when you Beat a Damnation or Heresy Mission effordless then it is OP else its not, i Played Both as Vet Today and we just died Over and Over again then switched to Ogryn and began To Carry the games, when we talk OP the ogryn is worse, i am not Calling him OP directly but he is often more important then the vet and Safes the game more then Once the vet most of the time just Dies. People are way to Fast in calling things OP when they are not. i also still dont see People Run arround with Power Swords and Plasma Guns, most of the time i saw Psykers and Zealots, and a small handfull Vets who used Autoguns/Lasguns and a chainsword. soooo yeah where are all the OP Speed runners? just killing things left and Right on Heresy and Damnation?
