Character Build - Zealot
So now when I have returned to Darktide after some updates, I have a lvl 30 Zealot. What is the current meta, or what's the strongest build for it now?

Flamer is still an excellent tool, just takes a bit more skill to use than before.

Autopistols with the Pinning Fire blessing have also risen into top tier meta, even on Psykers and Veterans. Zealots use them with the feat that increases the power the closer you are to the enemy.

Power Hammer with the THRUST blessing it helps deleting monsters ( even after this hotfix) i am running a crucis mk 2 with 25% unyielding 10% weakspot slaughterer 4 and Thrust 4.

I'm running the Mk IX Shotgun and a Chainsword, don't care if it's meta or not, I'm having a lot of fun with it

Currently running Atrox MKVII Flak and Unarmored preffered perks, brutal momentum and headtaker for blessings. For ranged, shredder pistol, same perks, pinning fire and blaze. So far it's been pretty gravy on damnation. Axe clears hordes and does good damage against everything, pistol takes care of things a decent distance out and clears specials and elite up close quickly.

use what you think is fun.

Rashad or similar armor piercing axe with brutal momentum and autopistol with whatever (it's really just to quickly kill a dog or trapper). Best mobility, best fun.

I really like the stubber revolver. It's an incredibly underrated pick that flows well with the Zealot's melee focus due to it's draw speed, fast handling, high mobility and incredibly single shot damage output (I have +10 against flak on a 35% damage stub for a general 282 damage)

Only issues are the reload speed and capacity (hint: reload when in cover or moving between melee target group to melee target group)

Since you put the gun away and pull the gun out very fast, it means you can pretty much go into brawls against chaff and melee, and then when you start getting shot by ranged, quickly dodge back a few times, pull out your Quickdraw Problem Solva', shoot all priority ranged targets in the face and then swap back to melee and get back into the moshpit.

Not very good against chaff, but that's why you're a zealot (Zealot = stabby pokey swingy at chaff until chaff dead, repeat)

TurtolskyIX/bolter.
on Damnation

Eviscerator
(learn block canceling and movesets) + Agripinaa Autogun, either version. I prefer Columnus Inf for fun but Agripinaa is more meta. Finally, you are not restricted in the use of your ranged weapons; even Laspistol will work, especially with Eviscerator

Talents / Feats

regen in close combat, +impact on 3 hit, damage reduction in coherency, heal from damage dealt on reaching 1hp, +damage on melee attack, double charge

The new Thunder Hammer is good, also learn block canceling and moves, can use with Autopistol

talent changes with Hammer
are +attack speed at lower health instead of +impact on 3, and +ranged damage in close combat instead of +damage on melee attack

Zealot can also make good use of the Chain Axe , really able to use its stamina efficiency and aoe push. Similar spec to Eviscerator

I use the "dragons breath" Mk (not sure which number it is) with the Eviscerator Chain sword. It makes me REALLY want a 2handed force sword for psykers

Zealot builds I rotate between:
Mk2/5 Combat Axe (Headtaker + Brutal Momentum) + Agripiina BAG
Mk9 heavy sword (Headtaker + Rampage) + Boltgun
Mk7 Tac Axe (Shred + Brutal Momentum) + Autopistol

First two use the same talent build of 1,2,2,1,2,3
Tac Axe build uses: 2,1,2,1,2,1

If Hadron ever stops ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over I may give the Thunder Hammer a go.

Unless you're pushing yourself to the absolute edge of your ability to clear content, there are a lot of good/fun builds. There really is no need to reduce versatility or variety in this game for pure performance, and if you are going to, just play veteran sharpshooter... I change up my weapons every run or two. Keeps things fresh.
