Deimos "2000 dps" (perk/feat build bla bla), and it does so efficiently on a weapon with infinite dodge and the ability to pull Deflector on demand. Not that hard to figure out why it's hella popular.
The Illisi lets you be a cosplay commissar, especially if you put on the Beta helmet and use the german accent to say Vet lines. The Illisi does awesome cleave which lets you use a gun for single targets, except you have a brain burst for that, but hey, you do you.
(I like the Deimos Force sword a lot. It's good! I don't think it's amazing against hordes but the damage feels higher than the standard one, so it handles it a bit better.)
plus the illsi sword's activated effect not trapping you in a weapon animation is huge, might be the overall best thing about it
same bonus damage vs. hard targets with none of the risk
would you say that powersword's activated effect is "inefficient" compared to just spamming more attacks? lol
3k mutant damage in 2 hits, 4k if you headshot. 1 shot flak ragers no investment. You're the one sleeping bro. Stop using the dumb force sword brain with this weapon, never power up Deimos.
illsi is a versatile weapon with strong attack-chains and good cleave that can still bring down hard targets without having to switch weapons
deimos is not bad but is still overall worse because it has an inferior attack sequence and provides functionality that is superfluous
looking only at crit/weakspot damage or dodge bonuses misses the basics of what makes a weapon good or bad, and that's the attacks themselves
But i also don't need Horde Clear from my Force Sword. I need it to clear a bit of space so i have time to charge my Voidstrike.
I'm 100% a Deimos fan. It was an instant favorite and the better I learned to use it the more fanatic I have come in my worship of it. :>
The Illisi special is pretty important against carapace targets especially. It would really struggle at them otherwise. Also, sword charge is a fast way to "farm" peril for certain broken things.
For everything else : deimos.
like how does that make sense?
