Slaughterer and Headtaker or Momentum.
There is no weapon in this game that does 16000 damage, even on a weakspot hit.
blunt weapons have garbage cleave which is a real issue that needs to get addressed soon. You will only kill 1 maybe 2 enemies per heavy swing. The rest get either very little or no damage while being thrown around.
Crucis does more dmg with special which matters most vs monstrosities. the ironhelm can reach most breakpoints for 1 taps as well on elites if properly rolled but will take 3-4 more swings on monsters. ofc with ironhelm you can hit big targets that are surrounded which is a big boon
I'm running one w Thrust4/Momentum3 and is fun and cruisey
Demonhost has 32000 HP on Damnation. You would have to have low HP, build for extra damage in your Talents, go into the fight with maximum Slaughterer and Headtacker stacks.... and land a charged hammer swing on the head, preferably with the Charge... and then you might get to 50% HP loss on the Demonhost. But that is not a 2 hit build.
That is "kill 5 horde enemies, and run around with a 60%ish lost health already, before i charge the Demonhost" build. And the 2nd swing would still depend on someone else having done damage to the Demonhost or you to bring 2 charges of your charge.
(Crucis would be the hammer to do this... as near to max Damage and First Target stat)
And i am not sure that is the metric to go by when you want a good hammer build. Momentum to make up for your lack of mobility might be the better route to take.
Edit: Forgot it has Thrust as a possible Blessing. That might help getting to that 16k damage threshold. You wouldn't need level 4 slaughterer in theory. Thrust 3 and Slaughterer 3 might be enough, provided you can guarantee that weakspot crit.
Personally I prefer ironhelm as it still deals respectable boss damage while being much more useful in hordes or when you need to go on the defence. Not to mention it's special attack doesn't stop at the first trash mob that sacrifices itself for the elite you are trying to annihilate.
I've seen 2 shots a few times but ~3 hits is way more common. Both hammers can do it when rolled for +Unyielding% but the attack pattern on the Ironhelm makes it much easier.
The ideal situation is to have all class powers on coupled with Headtaker and Slaughterer stacks but Thrust also works since apparently it's broken and deals multiple times more damage than intended.
Bosses in general are silly with how the damage and health calculations work in this game which means that certain weapons deal way more damage than expected like a MK II Helbore being able to chunk a Beast of Nurgle for ~20-25% per charged shot to the back.
didnt they adjust this last patch? 250% down from 300% whatever the hell thats meant to mean in english
edit: no its worse now, 300% UP from 250% :S
