I'm fond of the combat axe, myself, more so than the power sword. But use whatever you like best.
it has a slightly faster light chain sequence, a stronger horizontal heavy chain and a weaker push
the optimal attack sequence (minimum swing delay + max attack power) is light1 -> light2 -> heavy1; repeat
mk6 is more defensive
it has a more horizontal light chain sequence, a faster push attack
it also has the somewhat unique ability to instantly activate block and then animation cancel into a push, letting you use it sort of like a parry
the only other weapon that shares this trait is ogryn MK IIIb club
the optimal attack sequence is heavy1 -> light2 -> light3 -> light4/push; repeat
debatable, but probably true
both are overall very strong offensively but very weak weapons defensively
if you prefer to compensate for the inherent weakness, mk6 is better, but for min-maxing offensively MK3 is better
