Explanation needed for Antax Mk V Combat Axe

so an older mk v i had does more damage than a new one i just acquired, even though the new one has a higher damage percentage, it does 20 LESS damage than the older one. the Older ones power is over 100 less too. Any explanation or bug?

in short, lower power and lower dmg percentage axe does more actual damage than another one that is showing alot more power and a slightly higher damage percentage

and yes its the same axe model, im vet class if it matters

check the first target stat. For some reason it calculates that for the damage shown.

First target is pretty extreme. You'll see tons of Force Swords that would be good if not for less than 2.0x first target scores.

The weapon stats and detail screens can be a bit of a mess sometimes. Like others said, First Target gets applied directly to the damage on the details screen. So do Penetration and obviously Damage. However, First Target literally means what it says: first target in a cleaving attack only. Which can make it a bit bothersome to compare two horde clear weapons with a lot of cleave if one of them has a high First Target but lower everything else. Also remember to check each strike in a combo separately. Strikedown does different damage and attack pattern than Vanguard for example. And then you have stuff like the Cleave stats that just don't make much sense at all, and there are YT videos about how with at least some weapons they're not even true. For example if you compare variations of the same weapon, one with greater cleave can actually cleave for less, or one with higher cleave damage might actually do less cleave damage.

Also the details window does not include perks. So if you have +25% unyielding, the details will still show the value before that perk is added.
