Commissar Hat, but no Great Coat??
Methinks Fat Shark is in league with Games Workshop in more ways than one, a wise man once told me "The only Chaos Daemon to worry about is Games Workshop itself" I am not sure that was entirely true now for who would blaspheme so severely as to release the Commissarial hat and not the accoutrements as well?! I didn't go to the school of Fashion Souls to be subjected to this mockery...

They will sell them individually and you better buy them as you see them, else by the time coat is released, the hat will be out of rotation and nobody knows when it will come back.

Which is exactly their strategy, you can already see Steel Legion hat return without other pieces of the set, so when it was released was the only time you could buy whole set. If you happened to join after Steel Legion set was out of rotation, welcome to months upon months of waiting for other slices to rotate back in.

Not like anyone's forcing you to buy cash shop swag. It's a tip jar, not some predatory money trap operation. If you want to give them a tip because you enjoy the game, and get a little bonus cosmetic in return, that's what it's for. It's not like you NEED to buy the commissar hat for your class to be viable or something. It'd be a different story if they sold things like rank IV or hypothetical rank V blessings in the cash shop.

theres one leather jacket looking super sick with the new hat but i wonder am i able to wear that? Aint I jsut a dispensible human waste?

Wear whatever you want. It's a power fantasy so go be a Comissar. I figure you can be a former demoted Comisssar reinstated by the Inquisition, they have the power to do that. Someone has to be after all.

I got the coat and hat too and I'll use them. I'll be farming Chainswords now. :)

Exactly! It's a tipping Jar. Idk why so many are so negative, it's not like players are forced to buy any skins to play.
Also most of it looks really nice too, somebody put a lot of work into some of these skins. Another reason to get it. :)

Well thanks to that TIP Jar we will never get good cosmetics on the free store, since if they did it will directly compete with their own store profits.

And its already happening prove of this is that while the MTX store gets commisar hats we only get reskins of the SAME ARMOR from the start of the game. oh and that new piece of ♥♥♥♥ looking prison garbs that are pretty much irrelevant since alot of people are already 30 and in the warband.

And you are very right someone did put a lot of work for those paid for skins, a shame that they did not include that same effort on the in game obtainables cosmetics from the store.

I still remember back in the day where games were just sold as games and all the best looking cosmetics were EARNED BY PLAYING THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME

apparently people today got the game propaganda so far up their ass they think this is okay

Yeeeeah that's the unfortunate thing about cash shop cosmetics - they tend to put all the best ones behind paywalls, or "tipwalls" if you like. And it's far from unique to buy-once games like this, subscription games like wow double dip on that too. Perhaps fortunately I think the vast majority of cash shop cosmetics in any game look vomit-inducingly hideous, but now and then there's a nice piece, and I'm tempted.

Like that $8 eyepatch for the ogryn. My very being recoils at the thought of paying $8 for a video game eyepatch but then again tip jar.

Personally I think the Zealot, Psyker, and Veteran made out on their free cosmetics, its the Ogryn who got dooped by the fact that the armor on the fugin start screen isn't obtainable.

I second this, my Guardsman and Psyker are assembled out of free cosmetics, but for Ogryn I had to pay money to get anything but a wife-beater and pants with a hole in them. Poor Ogryn got screwed on this front.

I think veteran got robbed on the docket cosmetics, personally. Most of them don't have pants and shirts that match, or if parts do match, the shirts tend to have weird colouration on them, like mixed camouflage or ugly colouring. The closest to something looking decent, in my opinion, is an outfit that's mostly forest camo with green kneepads... and black armour on the torso over an urban camo (???) padded jacket. Yeah mix camo, why not, that's a cool fashion statement.

Zealot is probably top for docket cosmetics, followed closely by the psyker, and even the ogryn has some that look decent. Yeah you can't obtain the ones from the title screen art, but you can still put together a decent looking badass outfit from what's there.

P.S. WHHhhyyy in the emperor's name aren't there more backpacks for sale. Good god, come on. You could have 3-4 backpacks in flat and a good half dozen if not more in various camo patterns, and that's just for the militarum pack that's available now. Leaving low-hanging player goodwill + engagement opportunities on the table.

ogryn only got a single jacket and pants that look good, until you reach final penance and then have a bunch of dead crap hang off them.
personally think the way cosmetics are handled in this game are bad but think warframe ruined that aspect for me.
should be model pattern then color. allows for greater flexibility without the cluttered menus we have now, with every single model pattern color having a seperate menu selection its very cluttered.
observing how the game loads certain parts we could probably have feet, pants, belt, torso, shoulders, arms and head all being seperate pieces instead of combined as they are now.

Okay when you say "free" cosmetics I assume you mean anything that isn't in the cash shop, i.e. the achievement rewards + the cosmetics you buy with dockets. Or are y'all only talking about the achievement rewards?

A ‘tip jar’
A donation method The entire game is designed around to generate revenue.

Nah the game is a poorly lazily designed grindfest for no reason.

Ok

YEAAAAAAH I LOVE CORPORATE CONSUMER ATM STRATEGIES. I LOVE CORPORATIONS THAT ONLY TREAT ME LIKE A WALLET.
