How hotshot lasgun should be implemented?
If devs add in the future hotshot lasgun for veterans, what role should he play?Maybe just braced laser machinegun with high supression and mediocre damage or somethig specific?Or if devs add hellgun laser rifle (correct me in comments if i'm wrong, hotshot lasgun its what use scab-gunners, and hellgun its semi-auto "little brother" of laser canon with scope - slow fire rate but high damage and armor piercing )

I would add something like recharge stations for it and melta gun. There are two types of battery backpacks, one lighter, one heavier for volley Hellgun. It should be around 200 rounds for one recharge.
I still dont know if is wise to add it though, it is powerful enough to kill a Space Marine on higher energy settings or with shooting its weakspots in armour.

I don't think ability to kill a space marine is a meaningful metric, considering we already have thunder hammers which are barely able to kill crushers.

Also lasguns are fully capable of killing space marines when deployed en masse, especially ones with a variable power setting like the kantrael and the lucius has in lore.

hellguns and hotshots are variations of the same thing. just a more powerful las with a larger power pack so they get used on full auto more often.


id actually just make it inaccurate full auto when hip fired and take longer to aim down sights and make you even slower than normal, which makes it fairly accurate but slower firing. With faster stamina drain across the board. Sort of like the heavy stubber. and both should generate heat in the weapon.
Then the hip fire would be for suppression and hoards, while single-shot would be better for drilling single targets, but transitioning being a big factor.

combined with the sorely needed long-las, it would round out the las-options nicely.

good thing you arent on a dev team. your idea is terrible. edit your post to delete that suggestion. its very bad
