Being real, Zola stabbing everyone in the back due to that being her lot in life is honestly a pretty good way of salvaging what we have as a story in my opinion.
If there is a Traitor among the upper echelon then its the Sergeant. He has his own special forces that the other members of the team keep complaining about going into places they shouldn't be going to. He has a long standing history with being exposed to chaos in multiple theatres and of all the people... And in that one mission where you have to send a message at all the other warbands bypassing the Morningstar, it is suggested that whoever the traitor is has highlevel access to all the operations. And that sure isn't Zola, Hedron or any of the others, but the guy with actual private killsquads going places they shouldn't be going.
Or 'gifts of Nurgle' as they call them in the expense reports ;)
