Refining Item Explanation Needed?
In Community Update 5 they said that Refine Item means : "This functionality will allow you to replace one Perk on a Curio or a Weapon. The same Perk slot can be replaced multiple times, but will block replacing other perks on the same item."

But now in Community Update 6 they said this : "You can now choose to refine a single perk, which will lock other perks. Perks in the item card view will show their Tier through the number of ♦ next to the perk ranging from 1 to 4. Each Refine action taken on the perk will see a cost reduction for resources."

So I wonder will you be able to replace a Perk or just upgrade it like they said in today update?

When they say "refine" they mean re-roll the perk. Both statements are saying the same thing. They just gave it a fancy name.

here's another bit from their 25th nov crafting update:
"Refine Item
To refine your weapon and curios, Hadron takes your item and attempts to scour away the corrosion and damage of its long use, uncovering its true nature and altering its strengths. In game, these strengths take the form of the item’s Perks. Accordingly, each time you Refine an item, one Perk is discarded in favour of another, random Perk uncovered by Hadron’s repairs. Multiple refinements on the same item attract increasing costs - the deeper a weapon’s true character lies, the harder it is to reach it."

so it seems they just didn't know how exactly it'll work right till the very end.
or someone is just not very good at writing these things up.

or someone is just ♥♥♥♥ at writing these things up.

Just because of that I was buying weapons with highest perks possible such as +25% against flak, carapace etc, thinking or hoping as they said, that I will be able to extract that perk from weapons and put in on other ones.

They said you can extract blessings, not perks.

Ah yes I remember now, it was that we can replace blessings not perks.

So Refine Item just means we can Re-roll the perk?

But what "Each Refine action taken on the perk will see a cost reduction for resources." means?

i guess so.
i think it means that it costs less and less to keep rerolling said perk. unless it's a mistake and it actually costs more and more as mentioned originally.

Likely a mistake. It will cost more and more.

considering that fs seems to be hell-bent on making things difficult for their players when it comes to gear i'd say so, yes.
