They sold out to a company that doesn't give a crap about their games they just want money from their investments and they want it right now!
"The company surpassed a market value of US$500 billion in 2018, becoming the first Asian technology company to cross this valuation mark.[14][15][16] It has since then emerged as the most valuable publicly traded company in China, and is the world's tenth most valuable company by market value as of February 2022"
Even with 500 billion they still want MORE. It's never enough. Drain the life out of everything they invest in for MORE money. ♥♥♥♥ this planet.
Tencent could have 100 trillion and they would still be fiending for more money. We will never get a decent game in this day and age. Only small indie developers are where it's at. Games that get bought out by major corporations who care less about your game and just want to use it to extract money while providing as little effort as possible.
Heck even microsoft trashed Halo for their investors. They are pulling in massive profits, but it's never enough for these people.
Yeah, I'd be so confused by multiple store pages. Clearly, I'm too dumb to even play this game, let alone navigate a store page.
Also, this statement:
"...the cosmetics are not gone forever and will likely reappear."
Why exactly did they decide to word it this way? Ik, sounds nitpicky, but this kinda corporate speak is done for a reason. If it's not going to be gone forever, then why add the "likely" at the end? The statement seems to contradicts itself.
Almost sounds like they wanna maintain that fear of FOMO and/or keep the door open for timed exclusive paid DLC you can never get again.
FS is just gaslighting us at this point calling us too stupid to think for ourselves.
Like if we're to believe that's actually their reasoning (its not, their reasoning is fomo), then they just called us so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid we couldn't even handle a simple google search (since those can have pages of results). In fact, I'm not sure how we were even smart enough to purchase the game, because steam should be too complex for us.
And if we rightfully acknowledge its not their reasoning, then its a pointless lie. Why say anything? Like I don't even give a ♥♥♥♥ about the store in the first place, but if someone goes out of their way to lie to my face for no reason it feels odd to just ignore it.
I feel bad for Aqshy. Dude genuinely seems pretty nice, so it sucks he's being told to tell all these stupid lies. And like if he's actually an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and hiding it well, you'd think he'd be a better liar than this.
They definitely chose this word on purpose for wiggle room. Likely being to appear does not specify how often it will reappear only that it may reappear which doesnt not even confirm it will. For all we know it will appear after the game's' lifespan has already ended and this statement will still be correct.
Create confusion, what an excuse.
I recommend withdrawing from all games all together unless they are tiny indie games. This is it man. I'm done. 2023 is the year i vow to never purchase ♥♥♥♥ again. I'm only gonna play darktide for a bit more before i get bored of it, and then i'm off to other things. I have lost all my patience with the gaming industry. I have zero f's to give now.
