Except he is being mellow dramatic.. Also he is assuming everyone thinks the way he does. He could've also presented his disappointment with the game in a more.. idk.. professional tone, but it really just sounds like mellow dramatic whining.
Enjoy more in life and see things more easy. Makes everything more fun.
What I find absolutely hilarious is the Dan Abnett fairy tale. Can ANYONE tell me what his contribution is here?
Did they really need a writer to tell them how to do this non-existent storyline?
I can see one of two things happening here:
A) There is an actual story here but they didn't manage to complete the end-game part of Darktide, so they ripped out the whole thing and left just the 'yay, you are now part of the Inquisition instead of a worthless reject" part which even a 12-year old could think as a storyline.
They are going to gradually add the actual storyline parts later, calling it free content and/or paid DLC, along with boss levels (remember those? We had 4 boss levels in Vermintide, now we have 1 (with 2 variations).
Maybe a Skittergate (ending level) kind of mission too?
OR
B) The whole Dan Abnett thing was simply a consultation about names, places and general hive city info and nothing more. Then they simply promo-ed the heck out of it and made it sound like an epic story was going to be included in the game.
*Eyeroll* The classic "Maybe YOU are the problem." Argument. Yes, because I made the game and encourage them to put in 'trash' systems. Totally, 100% I am the problem, I developed the game, I made it have a Store in it, I made the crashes happen intentionally, yes. 100% my fault. Give me a break...
I could agree with some of his points if he didn't come across as a whining brat. "Woe is me, the endtimes are upon us! Gaming is dead!" is literally what I get from this. If he took a more professional tone I could agree with some of his gripes, that some changes do need to happen, but crying that fatshark and the game as a whole is dead and sucks.. well.. its very disingenuous.
Yup, I'm at 100 hours myself. 2 level 30s. Leveling up a zealot now and runnng a few missions on my Vet and Psyker to build up mats for future crafting and change the pace.
Looking forewad to a fully implemented crafting system and more content, but if I full quit right now I got my money's worth too.
