Right down to the Daemonhost taking the place of the witch, the mutant being the charger, the trapper being the smoker (sort of) and the hound being the jocky, and the poxbursters are the boomers.
This is not to say it does not have some of it's own things, the ogyrn are not nearly as bad as the Tank zombie from L4D, and they have more variety to them, the gunners, flammers, and a number of tougher melee enemies and the bomber being a uniquely painful area denial, basically they made the boomer into the poxburster and the bomber separating it's rolls.
But ya i see MUCH more L4D DNA in this then fireteam.
I thought it was Just Warhammer 40k for really poor people, with a monitor.
Ive played Fireteam. They throw a handful of xenos at a time; no hordes. What drugs do you take when you play?
You can afford them far before you can afford a 4000 point army.....
