And getting better at timing charged and fully charged hits can be a big difference maker. It seriously chonks damage. And stuns when it doesn't. But it is tricky no argument. It could use some target prioritization on elites/specials when in charge mode so it's not spent on trash. But maybe that would make it too easy. Dunno.
It's a *lot* of fun and effective for herding and clearing hordes. But it takes a lot of work and building a good rhythm.
Main value of TH is CC. If you consider scenarios when you are alone, you should never be alone. If you are alone, that is skill issue of both you and your teammates. Cohesion buffs exist to emphasise that.
TH might not be good at clearing horde on it's own but it will sure make it a breeze for your team. If you can't play with team oriented load out, TH isn't for you. But it is good at that is does. Knocking stagger resistant enemies in their asses.
That and it is getting buffed next patch anyway.
