Psyker's Beloved is the Emperor. Which makes them more stable than the Daemonhost.

Apparently Fatshark confirmed it's actually big E in some way, which I find very interesting if true. I just figured it was almost certainly just a daemon playing with him, probably something Tzeentch related.

The Psyker THINKS their 'Beloved' is the Emperor; us, the audience, ASSUME it is the Emperor, but there is more than enough reason to suspect "Beloved' is, in fact, a Chaos entity DISGUISING itself as the Emperor. Just look at how Saltzpyer (in Vermintide 2) was fooled by Bel'akor into thinking that Sigmar was speaking to him. Get in the habit of NOT taking everything at face-value.

Cool story except the part where Sigmar actually elevated Saltzpyre. Not everything is a tzeentch plan, you taking a bathroom btreak the other day wasn't a plan hatched 4000 years ago by a ball of eyestalks and his talking bird.

The psykie of the Emperor is fractured, so it is possible, lore wise, that it is a shard of the Big E with that pskyer.

Could be a non-chaos daemon. Regardless whatever it is, it's from the Warp and while not everything in there is evil, most things are, that's why most psykers are daemon bait. This is actually the first setting where having superpowers sucks pecker properly.

It's either a Daemon (potentially the Slaa kind due to all the associations with fragrance, color, sounds and dreams that he keeps referring to), a fragment of the Emperor's defragmenting psyche (suggesting he/she was bound to the Emperor at some point), or some other type of Warp Entity—as not all Warp Entities are hostile.

Fragrance? I thought that one dream reference was about Tzeentch, given that thing's like of pink/purple Fire Of Change. The psyker is more crazy than hedonistic, and craziness is more Tzeentch's thing than Slaanesh's. To be fair, they both turn you crazy, but one goes nuts faster than the other.

sanctioned psykers undergo a ritual psychically connecting them to the emperor - look it up. it may very well be a part of the Emperor himself, or at least some manifestation of him on behalf of the psyker's own mentally ill imagination. maybe a bit of both?
