Nurgle is the Chaosgod of disease, decay etc. You are fighting his followers who have Nurgle "gifts" and therefore are corrupted

The overall umbrella marker for the enemy are Chaos, Nurgle devoted.

There's two halves to the same coin serving the same Dark God of Disease, Decay, Death and Rebirth—these are the Moebian 6th (A Traitor Regiment of the Astra Militarum) who went insane through all the warfare they had experienced, and released the Poxwalker Disease under cover as Loyalists once returning to Atoma Prime.

The other half are the Dregs, Cultists formed as a result of the Moebian 6th (or having already been there as it's been established they're well organised and the Moebian 6th might have just accelerated their influence, spiralling out of control).

Both with Nurgle being the "focus".

Nurgle is a literal god, this isn't Final Fantasy, you don't fight them directly and survive.

Hell, I am sure due to some warp-related tom-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you would die just by being in Nurgles presence, purely because of it's followers beliefs.

Nurgle bosses as in something actually related to Nurgle rather than just a rando mortal servant who displays literally 0 traits of being affiliated with Nurgle, methinks.

Something like a mid-tier daemon or so.

I mean, most people can't even fight a daemon host. Isn't it like the lowest teir actual daemon in canon?

Reaaallly depends. A Daemonhost can be created from any daemon, ranging from the weakest trash only summoned to try and pump it for knowledge if that, to daemon princes that, as a result, as a Host can snap a Titan in half with a thought.

Also, consider that the Beast of Nurgle is also a daemon.

Something a Space Marine would struggle to handle?

Bottom feeder mortal "champion" is about the most that you're reasonably likely to see, all the true Daemons are going to be vastly too powerful; even something like a Plaguemarine would be too much.

A quote from the 40k wiki:

A Daemonhost is a powerful creature, the walking embodiment of the Warp. With few exceptions, the daemon bound within a host is potent, on the level of a Herald or Daemon Prince, because the wards and bindings that enslave a Daemonhost also fetter its power. A Lesser Daemon bound to a host is weaker than that Daemon would be otherwise, and seldom worth the risk of summoning and binding in the first place.

We -already- fight true daemons. See the Beast of Nurgle.

So, possession basically makes them limp (Relatively speaking). Got it. Learn something new every day.
