It's relatively fast and has a decent attack pattern that is good for headshots and decent enough to deal with hordes.
Personally, I really like it. Much more than any of the staves...
- Are excellent for taking down the shield when doing assassination runs.
- Get in behind the various Bullgryns and you can take them down in a couple of powered-up hits.
- Good for staggering multiple goons in single push-back strikes when you're swarmed.
Could end up that they're just not in your playstyle; I've had a ball with mine, but a mate I routinely run with has pretty much the same opinion as yourself, so... each to their own :)
Psykers really did get nerfed way too hard.
The special attack also does a pretty significant amount of damage.
Unless you get a really good one with the right blessings, it's not the greatest though.
Like 30~35% of their HP in 1 blow
What difficulty are you speaking of? Because heresy...it is not effective
Why would it be any different from any other wepaon in that regard then?
Heresy isn't that special despite what some might try and have us believe.
It's basically a psychic chainsword. Also you can proc the charge with the toughness quell regen perk, so charge it up and quell for free toughness. It's pretty handy.
The only use is the block Blessing and even that is super niche because of Psyker's low Stamina.
It offers something different to the Dueling Sword, so it just seems balanced to me. Psyker isn't really meant to be the class that tears it up in melee range.
Eh, I'd rather use the Devils Claw. I wasn't impressed with the Cleave of the Chainsword.
