Is the power sword just the best melee weapon?

i m not a type of guy to yell buff or nerf at first chance but for this weapon i certainly do.

i dont like it as much as the ogryns mk3 knife. If i could run that+bolter instead of power sword+bolter i would. The power swords ability to do good vs armor is not really needed unless you are trying to run with out any other weapons

whenever someone says "this x is op" i have to wonder what difficulty they play on.
cause to me the powersword is a T4+ kind of weapon, too strong for weaker tiers.

powersword is busted because the activation makes it ignore hitmass and gives it infinite cleave

if you take away some part of that it would still be a good weapon without slicing through an entire horde per swing

why does this **** sword power charge last for 4 hits ?
why does it have infinite cleave ?
why does power hammer only last for 1 hit ?
why does power hammer only hit 1 foe and then root you into place for 1 second ?

seriously do these guys even talk to eachother before the add weapons to the game ? it looks like hammer and sword were made by two different people with two very different ideas of melee combat

To make a long story short, pretty much yes.

Power sword's utility and damage output makes it outperform every other melee weapon in the game, even zealot's (which is ironic considering). It's been a point of discussion for awhile now and will likely be reworked/nerfed alongside every other weapon that needs work right now.

Who knows when though. Maybe once the game gets more stable and more finalized content is implemented.

The sword feels very lore accurate currently, it should cleave very very well. I'd much prefer seeing other weapons buffed rather than PS nerfed.

finally someone sees the point. its in the name. Veteran Sharpshooter. he s not a melee expert. if he surpassing my zealot with a hobbit sword then that means there s a problem.
and why buff all weapons. instead of nerfing one weapon. why the extra hustle.
