More toughness vs more health
I remember a similar thread asking about this a bit ago, and most of the answers said that just build for whatever they felt was more important to them.

I’m not asking which I should build here, but rather which do YOU build more over the other and why?

Veteran is probably the only one that can lean health, everyone else needs SOME toughness boost or they start taking chip damage immediately after any hit from any source, and extra HP doesn't really make up for that.

For me, it's health, since I have toughness regen at 50% as a psysker.

I do a mix. two curios for toughness/regen and one curio for health.

I used to stack toughness, but health is incomparably better on the long run.

If you take low tougness damage, its irrelevant if you have 100 or 140.
If you lose it all as vet in shootouts, you're a zealot player who should be using flamer, not sharpshooter.
More health means you'll live longer when S hits the fan and it will eventually regardless how good you are, it also helps tremendously when doing grims.

More health for Ogryn since he has 300 and more toughness for veteran since he has 200.

I don’t really play the other classes.

hard to say. depends on your class and style. also if you want to follow metas or not.

If my feats scale with the bonus toughness, because there % based I think that would work better, unless something gives a bonus on higher health.

Health all the way. There isn't really a reason to stack toughness at the moment except on vet so he can trade at range. Regardless of how much toughness you have, you will still take chip damage in meele after losing just a little but of it. I play on T4 and sometimes 5 and I have not really had too many issues rolling health

As a Vet, if you have no toughness left, you are as good as dead. The toughness you recover on kill is % based. The higher the thoughness, the less kill you need to recover to full (after a melee hit) and the more damage you can soak from ranged ennemies without beeing stunned. Yes you can take more chip damage when you have extra health, but with extra thoughness, you are less likely to take that chip damage. So if you are good at avoiding hits, take the thoughness, if you often get chip damage take the health instead.

What do you die to?

Ranged? Go toughness.

Just a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Go health.

Personally I go toughness, as I can hold well in melee, but get picked apart by basic ranged dudes on higher difficulties due to their sheer volume and backpedaling.
