What's with the endless loading screen?

I've been staring at the mission screen (the one where it shows the players sitting in a transport) for 5 minutes now. It happened before but eventually the game started. Is this a bug or something?

It's usually about 30 seconds - 1 minute on an NVMe

I've also experienced ridiculous loading times on a few occasions but definitely not *that* long, but from what I've gathered, it's probably due to having to wait for the slowest player to finish loading in - with them likely having the game being on a HDD rather than an SSD.

My usual loading screens aren't that long. Like someone said, 20 seconds to a minute at most. Anyway I closed the game since it wasn't starting.

If there are truly players with slow loading times then maybe give me a button to quit the loading screen so I don't have to shut down the whole game.

i got the game on a nvme with about 2000mb/s read and get loading times of about 4-5minutes sometimes, its not even consistent, differs between 90sec and 3-4mins... a game with 40gig size?! battlefield2042 starts up and loads into a map 3x before this game here does anything..... does it put its cache on my old HDD because i got a 2nd steam library there for old ass games like aoe2? any other people with mixed drive setups and multiple steam libs having this?

Ive very rarely had to wait like 3-5 minutes. Usually its less than 1 min.

I usually wait about 30 seconds - 45. I've never timed it.

i Have this on a NVMe and the loading time are still to long i had it on a standard SSD and then a NVMe (on it now) and there is NO noticeable diff to me

If I get disconnected from a game it's always faster for me to relaunch the whole game after alt+f4. I don't know what it's trying to do when loading me back to the menu or whatever but it's sat their for 17 minutes before my patience ran thin and I just restarted the whole damn game.

Pretty much 0 difference betweennvme and aata to begin with; now if it was a PCIE SSD like an intel DC3600 VIA U.2. Or PCIE port; then there is a noticeable difference vs SAT/NVME SSDs.

Yeah, it's waiting for others.

I was waiting so long I nearly killed the game thinking it crashed.

That said, loading times for the game are stupid, especially to mourning star which really shouldn't have that much going on.
